Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Work with me one-on-one. Let’s activate your inner self healing through empowerment and self awareness.

 Hi there,

I’m willing to wager some bets…

That you’re ready to take your healing into your own hands.

That you're tired of going from doctor to doctor with no solutions; only more tests.

That you’ve been dealing with discomfort or abnormal feelings around your pelvis, pelvic floor, and vagina for some time now.

Or maybe you just haven’t felt quite right in your body since having a baby.

Maybe you feel like you don’t have the time to focus on your pelvic health.

But you KNOW that you don’t want to feel this way anymore, and you KNOW that there has to be something out there to help.

That’s why I’m here.

I’ve been treating women’s health and pelvic floor patients for over 8 years. It dawned on me that after only a few visits in the clinic, the majority of my patients start to feel better and more aware of their bodies.

They begin to feel empowered.
They feel knowledgeable.
They feel their own body wisdom.
They feel feminine.
They feel their VITALITY.

So, let’s get started, shall we?

You are not alone.

Trouble with your pelvic floor can cause all kinds of painful and embarrassing symptoms, so it can feel very vulnerable to bring them up.

Is this “normal”? “Why do I feel this way?”
Could pelvic floor physical therapy help?
My doctor isn’t concerned, but I am. So who’s the right person to ask about this stuff?

Pelvic floor problems are SO common; however, these concerns have only recently become a topic of discussion in the mainstream media. But there is something that can be done instead of just chalking it up to having kids or instead of just drinking a glass of wine or trying not to think about it if sex hurts.

There is always a reason that you are in pain or feel uncomfortable.

Just one consultation can put you on the path to a fuller, happier, more productive life.

 Good Question!

FAQ’s

  • We’ll spend 50 minutes together in your initial session. Follow-ups are 30 minutes long. We’ll talk about your health history and current symptoms, and you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions! It’s a completely confidential, judgment-free zone.

After the session, you will receive a recap of our time together and a list of recommendations. Links of suggested products and any exercise descriptions will be included in the email.

  • You’ll receive an email to confirm your session with a Zoom link that should be used for your appointment. Thirty minutes before your scheduled appointment, you’ll receive a reminder email. If you don’t receive an email, please reach out to mariesa@mypelvichealing.com or call 504-874-5525

Most virtual consultations are considered a wellness service, which typically do not qualify for use of health insurance, FSA, or HSA. You can check with your provider to be sure.

  • Nope! And you can wear whatever you want and keep your clothes on the entire time.

I want you to feel safe and comfortable the entire session.

  • We’ll have a conversation about what’s been going on and how you have been feeling. I’ll ask questions, and we’ll get to some practical suggestions to help you start feeling more like yourself!

Even during in-person appointments, there is a lot of patient education and lifestyle adaptations that are just as important as a physical exam. We will still go over anatomy and function of the pelvic floor and how the pelvic floor plays a part in your diagnosis or your symptoms.

  • Depending on your specific concerns, I may ask about peeing, pooping, sex, pregnancy/birth/labor, and/or your daily lifestyle.

But just remember, all of this relates to the pelvic floor!

You may feel a bit embarrassed at first. But then you’ll remember vaginas and rectums are just body parts. This is a judgement-free zone, and I promise I won’t make it weird.

  • Not necessarily! Often, my in-person sessions become mostly about lifestyle changes and patient education. I can suggest at-home exercises, products, and/or lifestyle adaptations that’ll make a world of difference!

We will also go over which videos in my video library is right for you!

In addition, I’ll be able to tell you if in-person therapy sessions are your best next step.

  • Email mariesa@mypelvichealing.com or call 504-874-5525, and we’ll get it sorted out!
