Dr. Mariesa Barbara Strangos specializes in pelvic floor rehabilitation, pre and postnatal exercise, and sports medicine. She is also certified in Functional Dry Needling, ASTYM, and a prenatal yoga teacher. She is passionate about women’s health and further educating women about their bodies- especially pre and post partum in order for appropriate healing and return to optimal function. She is an advocate for preventative treatment and for pelvic floor physical therapy to become the “norm” pre and post pregnancy – just like in many other countries. Mariesa also enjoys helping patients heal from pelvic pain in order to return to once enjoyable activities.
Mariesa is a New Orleans native. She lived in Scottsdale, AZ for two years where she began her physical therapy career and enjoyed the red rock hiking. She has moved back home and looks forward to expanding the women’s health initiative in her hometown.
